Using WISE cataloged data for morphology, bulge fraction and black hole mass estimation

Scientific poster to be presented at the XVII Latin American Regional IAU Meeting presenting how to use WISE cataloged data to estimate mutliple properties of galaxies and the mass of their Supermassive Black Holes (SMBH) using the WISE2MBH algorithm. Statistical methods: Bootstrap, sliding‑window and statistical tests

Workshop done at the 2024 TITANs Annual Meeting presenting how to use bootstrap to test biases on data, how to use a sliding-window algorithm to search trough specific regions of data, the use of the Kolmogórov-Smirnov test applied to astronomy and the combination of all methods fo find statiscally strong results while not worrying about biases in data or sample-size problems. The notebook used for the workshop is available here.

Do SMBH mass estimates agree one to each other?

Academic talk presented at the 2024 TITANs Annual Meeting presenting the possible biases between different indirect methods to estimate the masses of SMBHs. Regions of agreement and solutions to recover agreement in specific cases are discussed. WISE2MBH is used a method to compare others to. It is available at GitHub.
